sybil coady I hope this petition succeeds.
It is very frustrating hearing of recent developments by the Board and being in another country unable to influence events

Paul Harrendence I would like to know the views of the Board as it appears that communication is very poor and requests for details are difficalt to get. I welcome a meeting as soon as possible with the board to discuss our concerns and move forward with a more “open book” policy.

There is a distinct lack of transparency in the boards actions, resulting in ill feeling. What can be gained by secrecy other than problems and resentment?
As the board stated in their recent letter – we all live in this building – therefore we all have the right to be treated with respect, not like naughty school children who are denied things because ‘teacher knows best’. I refer of course to the Radley report.
Consultation over major issues like the dismissal of the managing agents is needed with residents (some of whom have been here for decades and seen agents come and go), and a reputable company should have been in place before they were sacked . This seems a rash, knee jerk reaction from Paul Michaelson, whom it is suspected, acted alone in the dismissal of Countrywide.
The board should be working with the agents (who we pay £36k a year to manage) not stifling them, if the board want to manage everything themselves then I suggest they take a job at the managing agents.
I am under no illusion that a position on the board comes with responsibility and time commitments and it is much appreciated that residents make the effort to do this, but if the board are refusing to answer questions that we have a right to ask, or provide information that we have a right to receive, then something is wrong and things need to change.
